IMPORTANT: Toy Donations

We wanted to make everyone aware of a new policy at the Magic Hat Thrift Shop:
Beginning immediately we are no longer able to accept toys due to new standards put in place by the federal government regarding lead and phalate content.
These standards went into effect on Tuesday, February 10th.
Due to the unbelievably long list of recalled items the Board of Directors came to the conclusion that we could no longer continue to sell toys due to the fact that we may be inadvertently putting a child at risk.
The few remaining items that we will continue to sell are: non-wood puzzles, board games (the recall list for this category is much smaller and therefore manageable), books, baseball gloves, dvds and videos.
